Definitions of culture run the gamut from the wordy “…shared beliefs and values established by leaders and then communicated and reinforced through various methods, ultimately shaping employee perceptions, behaviors and understanding” to understated “Culture is the way things get done around here.” Irrespective of your definition of culture, my experience has taught me that the elements of culture fall into two major categories; Operational Elements and Relational Elements. Today we are taking a look at the Operational Elements of Culture, their relationship to your organization’s values, and the role they play in creating a culture of engagement, ownership and bottom-line performance
